Hello, my name is Axelle. I am from Belgium but live mainly in Egypt since 2022.

I recently got adopted by a dog from the village I am working in. She follows me when I go running, enters my tent to sleep next to me, comes to my work office everyday to say hi,... Over time, we bounded, but I always thought that she belonged to the village...

Until the morning of the 14th of June. Some people decided that it was her last day there and put a plan to get rid of her.

I had a few minutes to take her away in a safe place, and find a solution. On the same day, the family who decided to adopt her changed their mind. Add to this that work is calling me away in a few days for 3 months, so I am in a rush to get her safe.

Here is my plan for her : she will travel to a shelter in Cairo until she has her papers to get out of Egypt (in 3 months), then she will be adopted by a loving human. I would love to keep her with me for those 3 months, but work is calling me abroad until October, so the shelter is my only option to keep her safe.

Of course, the transportation, the shelter and the procedures for her passport are not free. And with an Egyptian salary, I can not cover all the costs.

So here is a fundraiser to help me save her life (financially). I know for a fact that the shelter will take great care of her, and that she will have a loving human when she gets out from there.

Give what you can. And if you can not give money, share her story. This adorable lovely dog deserves a long happy life.
