Save Caleb's Heart

Hello Everyone! My name is Daisy Ligan, A Mother of a 1 year old baby boy named Caius Caleb. We lived here in Davao City, Philippines. In this challenging and trying times we are all experiencing globally, I am knocking on your generous hearts to help me raise a fund for my Son's Open Heart Surgery this coming March 2021. Caleb is my only child who was born on July 21, 2019. When I first found out I was expecting Caleb, I was overjoyed to bring a handsome baby into my family. I took all the necessary precautions (medications, vitamins, a healthy diet, monthly pre-natal check-ups, and ultrasounds), praying for a healthy and happy newborn child. I gave birth with the help of the doctors at the hospital and when he came out a 3.47 kilogram baby boy, he looked perfect. However, 2 months after I gave birth, We rushed him at the hospital due to asthma attacks and that's the time that I noticed that his lips, fingers and his foot was a little bit blue-colored. At first, I didn't mind it until they requested a 2D Echo and the Pedia Cardiologist explained everything why it happened. I knew very little about this disease at the time, but as the doctor explained what it meant, it was devastating. I could not even speak and keeps on crying. He was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease called "Tetralogy of Fallot." This heart condition is very severe, and affects multiple areas of the heart. I was told that there will be Part 1 and Part 2 Operation because they can't do the total correction in 1 Operation as he is not getting enough oxygen and no chances to survive. I was reminded every day that he would not make it if he did not get help.

Thank God! He already underwent his Part 1 Operation which is BTS or Blalock-Taussig Shunt last Sept 8, 2020. The shunt creates a detour that allows enough blood to pass through the lungs and pick up more oxygen and that way also he will be ready for the Part 2 Operation which is the total correction of his heart. It is really hard for a single mom like me seeing my child having breathing problems and always looks like vegetable as I am always blaming myself because of his condition and I will do everything I can to help him experience the beauty of life. He got a medication to calm his heart, but without surgery, the condition will never go away. He underwent operation also because of the people that helped him as we did a fundraising project like posting on social media, doing some house to house caroling and selling for a cause items that all the procedures we're saved for the Doctor's Fee that time. I was very thankful to God and to everyone that amidst this pandemic, there are still people who are willing to help even if they don't really know us personally and I am always and forever grateful to that.

Here I am again, Knocking on your generous heart to help me raise a funds for his Part 2 Surgery, Even if you can only afford to give a few dollars, it will be a huge help. Any contribution you can make is appreciated so much. I ask for your kindness, because I know that if Caleb gets the surgery he needs, he will be a beautiful light shining in this world for many years to come. Please Help me Save Caleb's Heart. Your generosity means a lot to us specially for my Baby Caleb and thank you for taking part of Caleb's life journey. May abundance be upon you!

Note: Because of my location in Davao, Philippines, I cannot run this campaign myself (gofundme only allows campaigns to be run from certain countries), so I am being generously helped out by Mr. Jonathan Lien, who is based in the USA.
