Save Bowie Fund

My name is Gary  and I am a licensed general contractor. I am also a combat veteran of the US Army.  When my daughter was four we went and acquired a puppy, unbeknownst to (and much to) my wife's chagrin. Very quickly Bowie became a member of our small family and he went everywhere with me. I had him on job sites at a very young age so he would not be afraid of loud noises and remain calm in stressful situations.
Recently, our dog Bowie was attacked by a homeless woman's dog, walking in our neighborhood. Bowie received numerous puncture wounds and his whole body is now infected. He had drain tubes installed. He came home for one day and we had to rush him back to the ER. The infection from the wounds spread through his whole body. He was put on an IV drip of antibiotics and he remains stable. However, he is leaking from all parts of his body and needs numerous operations to remove the dead skin. Bowie is still a young dog and once he heals will have a good quality of life. Unfortunately, this process will take several months to a year. 
No one can anticipate this kind of thing and now the Vet bills are piling up. At the moment we are looking at a staggering number for any individual to handle. But collectively, I think we could do it. I am a firm believer that together we can all make a difference.  I am not asking for anything more than what you feel you could contribute. Bowie as many of you know, is the sweetest little dude and wouldn't hurt anyone or anything. Any assistance that can be made will be gratefully and humbly accepted.   
Know that anything given will go directly to Bowie's medical care and I ensure you that my family will pay forward the generosity given to us and my dog Bowie.
