Our baby boy Blue was born in July of 2022. He is relatively young and has such a long life ahead of him.
This morning, Blue was acting unusual, very tired, wouldn't eat, and very quiet. He did not respond to touch and could hardly breathe or walk. We immediately rushed him to the vet where we found out he has a mass in his small little lung. We got an X-ray and blood work, which are pointing to two things. One, he could have a hernia in his lung where fat is pouring into his lung and could potentially have other organs fill the area, which is deadly. He could also have a type of cancer in the lung as well since his kidneys were inflamed, which could point to lymphoma.
Today alone, our vet cost was already at almost $800. We now have to get an ultrasound for our boy, and that will put us over a thousand dollars in debt. He will also most likely need surgery to remove said mass, which can be thousands depending on what the ultrasound says.
We are asking our friends and family at this time to support and help us in this costly and devastating process. We just want Blue to live a long and healthy life, especially since he is so young. Any donations are appreciated at this time and will help us get the best care for him with tests, surgery, and recovery. I ask if you cannot donate to please send us and Blue your thoughts and prayers at this time.
Thank you!
UPDATE: We have gotten our ultra sound results back for Blue. Vet is confident that it is in fact a diaphragmatic hernia. The tissue that is in the hernia is his liver, and there is liquid also in the space which is probably his body just trying to adjust or correct this. They do not think his kidneys are going to be an issue, they are on the larger side but they don’t seem inflamed or anything like that they may just be big. In other words she said it is not the main issue for now.
We have scheduled a surgery for him tomorrow, looks like the cost for surgery alone is 1600. Please consider donating to help our lil guy get this surgery!
