Save Big Balu

Big Balü is my loveable bullmastiff whom we rescued a few years ago. He was in a dogfight with some neighborhood dogs and almost bled out. We were able to get the bleeding somewhat stopped and got him to the vet, but they were closing and couldn't monitor him overnight and so they stabilized him and we transported him to Austin to the emergency care clinic. We all know how expensive that runs, the owners of the other dogs have been great and paid all the fees so far. Balü had to have surgery today to fix his femoral vein and while the surgery went well, the vet clinic almost doubled the projected cost with no notifications to us. The earliest we can get him out would be tomorrow afternoon and that will drive the cost up another 2600 dollars. Thats also if he doesn't require another 300 dollar transfusion. That also doesn't include his medications for home which I'm told could be more than 500 dollars. They will not release him until this is paid and we have no more money to pay these fees. I don't know what will happen to him if we cannot pay. Please help bring our big lunk home. My daughter Kaya won't know what to do without him.
