Save Benny the Puppy

As many of you know, I moved to Los Angeles a few months ago for the next chapter in my career. Being alone out here, I wanted to find a furry companion to keep me company and support. Just recently, I found my puppy and named him Benny. About 3 days ago I saw a craigslist ad with his face on it and immediately fell in love. 4 hours later I was in a parking lot holding him in my arms. The person who handed him over had previously told me that the puppy had all of his shots and was de-wormed. He assured me that everything was in line and he is healthy. When I asked for the paper work he told me that his aunt forgot to give it to him and that he would send it to me. BIG MISTAKE as he was never to be heard from again. (I hope people can read this and not make the same mistake)
Now fast foward to today. Realizing that this man probably lied to me, I decided take him to the vet to get checked out. After running some tests, the doctor came in with some news that tore my heart out of my chest. "Benny tested positive for Parvo. It is a highly contagious virus that is very dangerous/deadly for puppies who get exposed. It attacks the puppies intestines, resulting in major dehydration, eventually leading to a slow, painful death if untreated properly." I immediately started crying (haven't stopped)and the Vet told me my options.
1) Hospitalize him which is VERY expensive.
2)Try to treat him at home which has a low success rate.
3)Put him down before he suffers.
Unfortunately #1 is not an option as I do not currently have the funds for such treatment and it kills me. So before jumping to #3, I decided to buy some time and treat him at home while reaching out to friends and family to see if anyone with the $$$$ for proper treatment would want to take him, as I would rather him live a long life in another home than to die.
However, when I reached out, people told me that I should make a post on here. So, here I am. In a last ditch effort because I love him. It is so hard falling in love with this precious little lover only for him to be essentially ripped out of my arms due to a horrible human beings scam. I am crushed. The treatment is effective but also expensive. If by some miracle people feel compelled to save this pup’s life by donating, his new mother would be eternally grateful. I also hope that this never happens to any of you. Learn from my mistake.
