Save Ballet Academy

As we all know, Covid-19 has deeply impacted small businesses and fine arts programs in our community. Unfortunately, Ballet Academy is also experiencing a financial hardship due to both the initial shutdown last spring as well as decreased enrollment resulting from the on-going repercussions of the virus. We are desperate to keep the studio open and classical ballet thriving, but need your help to persevere during such an unprecedentedly difficult time. 

 

For those who are not aware, here is a bit of Ballet Academy history, also available at https://www.myballetacademy.net/. Our school was founded by Angela White in July of 2015. Mrs. White has deep roots in East Alabama's classical ballet community. Her early training was with the famed Lynn Curtis. She also trained and taught with the beloved Terra Ann Johnsey Caldwell of Auburn Ballet School. Currently, the Ballet Academy features the following classes/ instructors: 

 

·         Ballet Instruction - Trish Clark, Carol Smith, Angie White and professional                                                              dancers Dawn Kamphaus and Brenna Sumner.

·         Russian Character Class - Brenna Sumner

·         Pointe, Conditioning Class and Variations - Angie White

 

Please consider supporting the arts, specifically classical ballet in our area as it encourages both physical and mental fortitude in these challenging times.
