Save baby Jazz's heart
My husband and I recently adopted this sweet little Morkie (A Yorkie-Maltese mix), whom we named Jazz. Among her favourite things to do are giving kisses and making new friends. It's very easy to fall in love with such a bright spirit, and she instantly became a part of the family!
But Jazz needs your help if she is to survive. When we brought her in for her puppy shots, the vet informed us she has a very bad heart murmur and refered us to a cardiologist. Yesterday, that cardiologist diagnosed her with "Patent Ductus Arteriosus" (PDA), which she says will lead to heart failure within a few months to a year without surgery. Her chances of living out a long, healthy life are over 95% if the PDA is treated with surgery.
The thing is, the cardiologist advised us the surgery needs to be done within 4-6 weeks in order to avoid irreparable damage to little Jazz's heart. So time is of the essence, but my husband and I simply don't have the money at the moment. The cost of the surgery is $5,000, not including the overnight stay at the vet and post-operation supervision, meds, and the follow up ultrasound; and all of this is in addition to the $760 the visit to the cardiologist just cost us.
Enough people giving even a little will make a big difference. Send your gift of love today. Click now to save Jazz's heart!
