<div>My name is Cédric Callenaere, head chef of the iconic restaurant Aux Armes de Bruxelles, located in the heart of Brussels.

<div>In 2019, we brought new life to this over 100-year-old restaurant, a true symbol of Belgian gastronomy. Sadly, during the Covid crisis in 2020, we were forced to close due to government restrictions.

<div>That closure caused severe financial losses, leaving the restaurant in serious difficulty. Today, Aux Armes de Bruxelles is up for sale.Without support, this historic institution risks closing forever or being taken over by a soulless chain — erasing more than a century of Brussels history.

<div>Je m’appelle Cédric Callenaere, chef du restaurant emblématique Aux Armes de Bruxelles, situé au cœur de Bruxelles.
</div>
<div>En 2019, nous avons redonné vie à ce restaurant plus que centenaire, véritable symbole de la gastronomie belge. Malheureusement, lors de la crise du Covid en 2020, nous avons été contraints de fermer nos portes à la suite des décisions gouvernementales. Cette fermeture prolongée a eu des conséquences dramatiques : pertes financières importantes, dettes accumulées, et aujourd’hui… le restaurant est mis en vente.

<div>Si rien n’est fait, Aux Armes de Bruxelles risque de disparaître, ou pire, d’être repris par une chaîne sans âme, effaçant plus de 100 ans d’histoire bruxelloise.

<div>Je souhaite reprendre personnellement le restaurant afin de le préserver, de protéger les emplois et de continuer à faire vivre cette institution.

<div>In 2019 bliezen we nieuw leven in dit meer dan 100 jaar oude restaurant, een echt symbool van de Belgische gastronomie. Helaas werden we tijdens de Covid-crisis in 2020, door verplichte overheidsmaatregelen, gedwongen onze deuren te sluiten. Deze langdurige sluiting had dramatische gevolgen: zware financiële verliezen, opgebouwde schulden, en vandaag staat het restaurant te koop.
