Act Out Theatre Covid

4 years ago, in July of 2017, the community came together to help us raise the money to keep the doors to Act Out Theatre Group open. A lot has changed since then. We have moved to a new location, we are expanding into performing and visual art classes, we have helped other community organizations when they were in a time of need.  

As everyone knows, a virus shut down us and many other businesses in March of 2020. Once we got the green light, we scheduled outdoor performances, recorded productions, live streamed when possible. We adapted and grew because we know the importance of the arts for young people. During the first shutdown, we fell behind on bills, specifically rent. At this time, we are nearing a new impasse. We need to pay some of our back rent. While we started paying a lot of it off, we still have a major way to go. Because of the new shut down until January 4th, we are unable to operate as we were.

The Annual Holiday Revue is a favorite of the Act Out Family. It's a time to celebrate the holiday season and perform holiday songs with your friends. Unfortunately, we cannot perform it live anymore because of the new restrictions.  However, we are determined to make it happen and will be recording our performers at home so they can still perform and we can get back into the holiday spirit. 

With every $25 donation, you will receive a digital copy of our Annual Holiday Revue. $40 will get you a leaf on our giving tree and $100 will get you an apple. Donations over $100, will be contacted about recognition at the theatre. 

Every contribution matters and helps. The community helped us once before and we are asking once again for your help. Act Out Theatre Group is a special place for a lot of young performers and adults. We need your help to stay.
