Save This Stray Kitten with Surgery

I’m not going to lie, I have never been a cat person but I have completely fell for this little fella and he’s needs our urgent help!
On Monday I was in the kitchen making a cup of tea and out the corner of my eye I seen something hiding under the hedge in my front garden. I went to have a look and it was this petrified kitten, he ran off and hid under my neighbours car when I approached him so I knocked on their door and slowly tried to get him out. He ran again but not very far as he was dragging his back leg, I managed to get him in a blanket and safely into one of my pugs crates. I tried to give him some water and tuna but was too scared to move.
It was put on the local neighbourhood Facebook groups, rang the RSPCA and cats protection society but without any luck so I took him to my local vets. It didn’t look good and they said he probably wouldn’t make it through the night which broke my heart. They gave him some painkillers and I took him home, I looked after him through the night and he returned the next day for X-rays. He nearly didn’t make it through the sedation and had to brought back round but it was good news - it was just a dislocation and was told to come and pick him up again. When I returned the vet was very distressed and upset as they had just noticed that his front leg was also damaged. So again he went back the next day, was sedated and the plan was to try and fix the front dislocation and hope it repairs itself and then go back to the back leg later with possible amputation. It didn’t go well and unfortunately the vet found some more serious smaller breaks above his dislocation.
When I found him he also had a burn mark and cut on his side and leg which makes me wonder how he got to be in this sorry state. The vet said he’s too small and young to have survived a knock from a car, they reckon 8-10 weeks old.
I took him home again and looked after him through the nights with water, food and medicine, waiting on a referral to see if anything could be done. By this time we had completely connected and he loved a fuss and a cuddle. Today I received the good news - the specialists can mend both legs without amputation and he can go on to live a long healthy life. The bad news is that it will cost £5,500. I refuse to let this helpless but happy kitten die. He is so bright and full of life, with big beaming eyes and pointy ears.
Please help me get him the surgery he so urgently needs.
