Save a Rescued Python

On Sunday, February 10th, 2019, in the late hour of the evening I rushed to rescue a severely ill Ball Python, from an individual who could not provide adequate means for care. 

The snake is 6 years of age but has the body size of a juvenile. I was told by the previous owner he had not ate for 6 whole months, which is evident by the ability that you can feel every rib.
Extremely underweight and dehydrated, it is amazing he has lasted this long. 

He is currently battling septicaemia, and a form of scale rot from husbandry issues in his previous home. Both of these things are entirely preventable with proper care.

You may observe this in his photo’s where half his body looks inflamed or red, and in the photo’s sent by the previous owner you can see his belly is red, his scales are falling off, and there is bleeding as well as open sores.

While I do work at a veterinary clinic, I do not have a large income personally, and am asking for any help saving this snakes life, and if he survives, rehabilitating him back to health.

Your valued donations will help pay for:

- ongoing antibiotic injections 
- antibacterial rinse 
- materials for syringe feeding, as well as food
- *an enclosure and accessories if he pulls through (as I am currently using one from my own reptiles)
- any other topical medication that may be needed

* feel free to donate an enclosure if you like, but it must be new, or thoroughly and properly cleaned, as this snakes immune system is already in jeopardy
