Save A Rare 12-Acre Forest

Your tax-deductible contribution today will help caring community activists save this gem of a 12-acre New Jersey forest that has 800 trees which have not been touched in almost 100 years. It is the last piece of a fully-developed ridge 13 miles west of New York City.

It has thirty large oak trees eighty feet tall and a gigantic and rare elm tree.

We have an opportunity to preserve this forest from development and since we are all connected, a forest saved in New Jersey helps prevent climate change in California. We will accept donations from anywhere in the world. 

In fact, we need to preserve all trees on the planet now to protect us from climate change and flooding.

Big trees are crucial habitat for birds and raptors such as owls, hawks, eagles and numerous animal species including the endangered Indiana bat.

 

 

 

 

This forest and all forests are living water towers.

 

 

 

 

This forest holds back millions of gallons of storm-water from the adjacent busy roadway where there have been many accidents. If the forest is removed there will be more flooding and accidents.

Your contribution will be used for both legal fees to protect the forest or to acquire the forest and prevent it from being cut down.

We hope to apply to New Jersey Green Acres to match the funds in which case we may be able to get half our money back.

A peaceful meditation path can be made within it for visitors without cutting trees.
