Please Help GUNTHER

Donation protected
Someone decided to abandon this dog by tying it to a pole at Markham Animal Clinic today, on a day where the temperature felt like it was -30. No one knows how long he was tied to the pole. When he was found, it was also discovered that he had a heavy metal chain embedded in his neck which has resulted in a terrible infection. He is extremely sick. He is young and is also very thin. The doctors realized that he needs surgery and follow up care. They cannot take care of him for free. Please help us show GÜNTHER that all humans are not as bad as those that he has known for his short life. His eyes are pleading for help. He doesn't understand what has happened to him. The Clinic is planning on calling Animal Control and having him picked up in the morning. Sara, a vet tech, put out an impassioned plea to help save this dog's life, allow him to have surgery performed and have him adopted into a loving family or placed in foster care where he can be loved and heal until such time that his forever family can be found. So far $200 has been raised. It is unclear exactly how much his medical care is going to cost. This is a rough estimate based on other dogs' experiences. I am calling him GÜNTHER because it means war, which it is clear he has been through and also means warrior, and that is what he is, to have survived the mistreatment and the elements today. GÜNTHER's wife, Brünhild, was the Queen of Iceland, so I thought that was appropriate too.

Please, can you help so this young pup has a chance at a long, happy life?
Thank you.
