We are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude! Thank you everyone for your generous support of the Farmingville Kitties. All the Farmingville Kitties will now go on to their new safe and loving homes.
Two of the kitties went to their new home last night and are settling in perrrfectly. Two more kitties will be going to their new home tomorrow. Then, three kitties will be going to a rescue on May 18 and two kitties will be going to a rescue on May 24.
Please keep posting as we still need to find a home for COW and SMOKEY, preferably together. They are very bonded as you can see by their pictures included.
We are thrilled to say that three cats will be going to a sanctuary and six cats wil be placed with rescue groups. Only two cats reamain that need homes and they are the most friendly. Cow and Smokey still need a home, see their pictures below.
THE FUNDS RAISED WILL GO TO THE RESCUERS OF ALL THE CATS.
My husband and I are being forced to relocate to Florida due to his employer moving to Florida. The company is putting us in their temporary housing for 6 - 9 months which does not allow pets. We have sold our house on Long Island and must remove this colony of 11 feral cat's from the property by May 31st.
We took over feeding the cat's after our neighbor abandoned them when they moved. Four cat's became eight cat's became more cat's, etc. We finally had all the cat's spayed/neutered with shots. The cat's are technically feral because they are not our pets and live outside. We feed them, provide shelter for them and basically make sure they are safe. Most of the cat's can be petted, some more than others. We have an opportunity to place some of the cat's in a sanctuary, and several pending offers from people who are willing to take in two or three cat's each. We desperately want to make sure ALL of the cat's go to safe new homes. They deserve to be safe and cared for, that is why we stepped in when our neighbors abandoned the original cat's.
Thank you, Karl and Carolynne
