Welcome to my gofundme page! My name is Savannah Light and I am 16 years old. About a year ago I met someone who taught English in Korea and it sparked my interest in learning abroad, specifically in Seoul. I plan on teaching English in Korea once I have graduated college and am beginning to learn Korean on my own now. I found a program called Lexis Korea and they have a modern school located in the popular Gangnam area of Seoul. I plan to live with a host family and study Korean for 6 weeks, during the summer of 2019.
I am asking for help raising the money for this educational program. At present (May, 2018), I have saved almost $3,000 on my own. However, the program, cost of living and airfare is close to $8,000.
