Ma famille, c’est mon père, ma mère, quatre frères, cinq sœurs et leur petit-enfant. Deux d’entre eux sont tombés. Martyrs. Les autres sont encore là, mais dans quel état. Blessés, malades, certains hospitalisés, tous sans ressources. Ils vivent dans la pauvreté, dans un monde où même l’eau est devenue un luxe.

Aujourd’hui, ce n’est plus seulement la guerre. C’est la faim qui les tue. Un kilo de farine coûte cinquante dollars. Et ne suffit pas à les nourrir un seul jour. L’argent ne vaut plus rien. Ce qui compte, c’est ce qu’on peut manger. Et ils n’ont plus rien.

Depuis le 7 octobre, leurs corps s’effondrent. Mon père a perdu cinquante kilos. Ma mère quarante. Ils ne bougent plus. Ils restent à la maison, couchés, faibles, tremblants. Ils tombent dès qu’ils essaient de se lever. Même parler devient difficile.

Je vous demande de ne pas détourner les yeux. J’ai besoin de votre aide. Chaque euro compte. Chaque euro peut retarder la mort, offrir un repas, rendre une journée moins insupportable. Un euro peut sauver une vie.
