<div>Hallo, mein Name ist Sanene, und ich bitte euch um Hilfe, um meinem Dorf in Namibia eine saubere und zugängliche Wasserversorgung zu ermöglichen – dem Ort, an dem meine 97-jährige Großmutter, Mwaka Sanene, noch immer lebt.

<div>Ich möchte euch eine Geschichte erzählen – eine Geschichte von Widerstandskraft, Liebe und der dringenden Notwendigkeit einer Sache, die für viele von uns selbstverständlich ist: Wasser.

<div>Die Geschichte meiner Großmutter
</div>
<div>Meine Großmutter, Mwaka Sanene, ist das Herz unserer Familie und der Gemeinschaft. Sie brachte 13 Kinder zur Welt, darunter meine Mutter, ihr erstgeborenes Kind. Doch das Schicksal war hart – meine Mutter verstarb im Jahr 2009, und heute sind nur noch vier ihrer Kinder am Leben. Trotz all der Verluste und Herausforderungen hat meine Großmutter sieben ihrer Enkelkinder im Alter von 4 bis 15 Jahren bei sich aufgenommen. Diese Kinder sind auf sie angewiesen – für ein Zuhause, für Liebe und Unterstützung. Viele von ihnen gehen noch zur Schule und brauchen eine sichere Umgebung zum Aufwachsen.

<div>Seit ich denken kann, lebt meine Großmutter in diesem Dorf. Ich habe dort viele Ferien verbracht – es war ein glücklicher, friedlicher Ort, an dem Menschen lachten, gemeinsam aßen und sich gegenseitig halfen. Unser Dorf im Norden Namibias war einst fruchtbar, es gab ausreichend Futter für das Vieh, und sogar Wildtiere lebten in der Umgebung. Doch der Klimawandel hat alles verändert.

<div>Die Böden sind ausgetrocknet, die Sommer sind heißer als je zuvor, und Felder können nicht mehr bestellt werden. Die einzige Wasserquelle – ein traditioneller Brunnen, der vor 15 Jahren gegraben wurde – reicht kaum noch aus. Und selbst wenn Wasser vorhanden ist, ist es oft nicht trinkbar. Doch weil es keine Alternativen gibt, trinken die Menschen es trotzdem – mit schwerwiegenden Folgen für die Gesundheit.

<div>Warum dieses Projekt dringend ist

<div>Meine Großmutter ist mit ihren 97 Jahren immer noch aktiv, doch es wird zunehmend schwieriger für sie, das Wasser für alltägliche Aufgaben wie Kochen, Baden oder die Toilettennutzung selbst zu tragen.

<div>Stellt euch vor, in ihrem Alter zu sein und immer noch unsauberes Wasser mühsam tragen zu müssen.

<div>Stellt euch vor, Kinder, die Stunden mit der Suche nach Wasser verbringen, anstatt zur Schule zu gehen oder zu spielen.

<div>Stellt euch eine ganze Gemeinschaft vor, die jeden Tag in Unsicherheit lebt, ob das Wasser heute reicht oder nicht.

<div>Ich bin fest davon überzeugt, dass der Zugang zu sauberem Wasser ein Grundrecht ist. Es geht nicht nur ums Trinken – es geht um Würde, Gesundheit und die Zukunft der Kinder in diesem Dorf.

<div>Mit einer solarbetriebenen Wasserpumpe und einem richtigen Speichersystem könnten wir das Leben in der Gemeinschaft nachhaltig verändern:

<div> Wasserleitungen zu jedem Haushalt im Dorf legen, sodass niemand mehr schwere Eimer tragen muss – und meine Großmutter endlich fließendes Wasser in ihrem Badezimmer und ihrer Toilette hat.

<div>Dieses Projekt erfordert den Einsatz großer Maschinen, um tief genug zu graben, was hohe Kosten verursacht – Kosten, die ich alleine nicht tragen kann.

<div>Hello, my name is Sanene, and I ask for your help to provide a clean and accessible water supply to my village in Namibia – the place where my 97-year-old grandmother, Mwaka Sanene, still lives.

<div>I want to tell you a story – a story of resilience, love, and the urgent need for something that many of us take for granted: water.

<div>My grandmother's story
</div>
<div>My grandmother, Mwaka Sanene, is the heart of our family and community. She gave birth to 13 children, including my mother, her firstborn child. But fate was hard – my mother passed away in 2009, and today only four of her children are still alive. Despite all the losses and challenges, my grandmother has taken in seven of her grandchildren, ages 4 to 15. These children depend on them – for a home, for love and support. Many of them are still in school and need a safe environment to grow up.

<div>My grandmother has lived in this village for as long as I can remember. I spent many holidays there – it was a happy, peaceful place where people laughed, ate together and helped each other. Our village in the north of Namibia was once fertile, there was enough fodder for the cattle, and even wild animals lived in the area. But climate change has changed everything.

<div>The soils have dried out, the summers are hotter than ever before, and fields can no longer be cultivated. The only source of water – a traditional well dug 15 years ago – is barely enough. And even if water is available, it is often not drinkable. But because there are no alternatives, people drink it anyway – with serious consequences for health.

<div>Why this project is urgent
</div>
<div>My grandmother is still active at the age of 97, but it is becoming increasingly difficult for her to carry the water for everyday tasks such as cooking, bathing or using the toilet.
</div>

</div>
<div>Imagine being their age and still having to laboriously carry unclean water.
</div>
<div>Imagine children who spend hours looking for water instead of going to school or playing.
</div>
<div>Imagine an entire community that lives every day in uncertainty as to whether there is enough water today or not.

<div>I firmly believe that access to clean water is a fundamental right. It's not just about drinking – it's about dignity, health and the future of the children in this village.

<div>With a solar-powered water pump and a proper storage system, we could make a lasting difference to life in the community:
