<div>Today I need to ask my friends and community for help. I need to get medical and mental health care so I can get back on my feet and healthy. I have tried, hoped and waited for months but now I really need support.

<div>As some of you know I was diagnosed with CFS/ Fibromyalgia and CPTSD twelve years ago after years of symptoms that started when I was eighteen. It was a long road to recovery that took over two years to fully heal. And it still requires me to spend a lot of discipline, time, energy and funds to keep up staying healthy.

<div>I find myself needing your support and in another very challenging depilating and painful flare up like before, a hip injury and with the worst CPTSD episodes that are sometimes very scary.

<div>Three weeks after arriving in the UK the flare up started, CPTSD episodes got much worse and I could barely walk. I have not been able to get the care I paid for through the NHS not only for physical care but I am now on month three of waiting for mental health therapy support. I have had to reach out to hotlines when it’s gotten bad. There waitlists for care, physical therapy and mental health are very long. I have already paid out of pocket over $1,200 for care in a short time, and I paid over $2,700 to the UK directly for insurance that has been useless.

<div>I have largely been in denial about how bad it has gotten. And publicly admitting this is no easy thing. It’s painful and embarrassing. If we have some physical ailment It’s easier and socially accepted to ask for help, but when it comes to mental health (and CFS), that are often the results of abuse and trauma there is such a stigma around it like we have to be perfect. We isolate and are often judged, or just feel that way. We don't have the support system other people might. I want that to change.

<div>I have smiled online but been crying, having often debilitating cptsd episodes and in pain behind the scenes. Many days I could not even walk and taking pain medicine for weeks. I am doing a Gofundme and asking for your help because I have tried to keep up with settling in a new country, but I can’t and I need to leave the UK temporarily.

<div>This is a blow to leave the UK this early with so little accomplished after so much work to get here. Its not all for naught and I have gotten great feedback from agents, and have opportunities coming but need my health in better shape.

<div>As some of you know also a series of events over the last few years has pushed me to a point of stress that has been building up, in addition to mold poisoning this spring. I have also had major setbacks with jobs and work. Putting out a lot of effort to get a job, and projects with expectations of future stability and projects but they have been falling through multiple times since I arrived here.

<div>I simply cannot keep up and need your help. My funds have been used up and I am not getting the care from the NHS I need. I can’t afford the tests. I have no funds to see the specialists and extra care to get me out of immediate physical pain and emotional (I say danger as sometimes it gets bad) so I can start to feel stable and get back to work. My computer is also in need of repair and my phone is on its last legs - two things essential to marketing work.

<div>My goal is to get what I need for immediate tests, therapy and medicine and to FEEL supported by friends and stabilize. This will help me get back to Mexico where I can teach and recover. I already have things set up next Spring in the UK to teach, live and opportunities that I need to get healthy for. Many of you know now most of my family is gone, not close or not in my life. Isolation is not helpful for CPTSD and I have been alone most of the summer house sitting and it has been very hard.
