This is a project of the Statesboro Atheist and Secular Humanists. The club choose the Food Bank as their charity. The funds raised to date have come from across the United States and around the world.
Bulloch County Information
Bulloch County is one of the largest counties in Georgia by area, 690 sq miles. It has a population of 72,695 in 2013 with only 20,000 in Statesboro. It is mostly a rural county.
Economically, citizens generally lag behind state and national averages. The following Bulloch information should actually be lower considering that the Georgia Southern University and the hospital have higher than average employee wages. One third of Bulloch’s population is below the poverty line, almost 18% have not finished high school and an ethnic split of 66% white and 27.5% black.

To summarize, there are many families of low education and little income and are in need of our help as the economy grows around then and the politics targets to oppress them further.
