This year I’m 17 and I can hardly believe it myself. As I get older, it becomes more important for me to fine tune my skills as a dancer and become the best ballet dancer I can possibly be. For the past year I have been training at Master Ballet Academy in Arizona which is considered one of the best ballet schools in the country. I was even featured in a local Scottsdale magazine because I got to dance the role of Mary in a local professional production of Black Nativity! That was one of my most proud moments – to perform with other artists of color!
At my ripe age of 17 in ballet, it is very important to be as flawless a dancer as possible in order to be considered for a job with a company. Companies look for artistry, musicality, and clean technique. The Kirov Academy of Ballet is known worldwide for producing dancers of the highest calibre.
Please help me achieve my GoFundMe goal and fulfill my dream to be a professional ballerina. The funds are for room and board, part tuition, and part airfare. No amount is too small as each penny goes towards launching this ballerina!
Much love & gratitude,
Sarina (the ballerina)
