Sarah's Recovery from accident fund

Donation protected
Sarah is a remarkable young lady who has worked hard to get to where she is. Sarah earned a $68,000 Presidential Scholarship to attend Carroll College in Helena, Montana, as well as a choir scholarship, being accepted in their Chamber Choir. She is paying for the remainder of the costs utilizing financial aid and working part-time.

Sarah is an ambitious and hardworking 18-year-old with the goal of becoming an Early Education Teacher. Since arriving at Carroll in late August, she has been able to get 2 jobs working with kids as a tutor in a school and after school at a daycare, in addition to getting some babysitting jobs.

Sarah was driving to meet some friends, from the floor of her dorm, and despite looking before turning left, was hit by a car Saturday afternoon in Helena.  The airbag of her car deployed and the 1995 Oldsmobile Regency Elite that she earned money last year to buy, kept her safe. She has swelling from facial injuries and her car, we have yet to discover the cost of getting it repaired.  A good solid car can be hard to come by.

Sarah is needing the car to either get repaired, if possible or replaced. She also is in need to have a way to get to work until she gets a car back, and funds to make up for missed work while she is recovering.  We are not sure if the sinus cavity has a fracture or not yet as the radiologist had expressed a concern this morning, so when her swelling goes down, she will need to get that checked out further.

We are not exactly sure how much money the repair bill will be for her car, but we do know that this young lady is willing to work to pay for her education to impact even more children and help them get off to a good start on their education.  She has a $460 a month payment to the school that she wants to keep up and earns about $600 a month currently, which is just enough for her expenses. If anyone could contribute in big or small ways, we would be so grateful.

The Second Reading at Mass today came from Philippians 2, which really seems to fit our dear Sarah:

Brothers and sisters:
If there is any encouragement in Christ,
any solace in love,
any participation in the Spirit,
any compassion and mercy,
complete my joy by being of the same mind, with the same love,
united in heart, thinking one thing.
Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory;
rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves,
each looking out not for his own interests,
but also for those of others.

Have in you the same attitude
that is also in Christ Jesus... (Phil. 2:1-5)

Would you please join with me to not only hold her up in prayer but to also make a donation on her behalf?

Updates will be posted as they become known.  Thank you so much, for your support!
