Sarah's Medical Mission Trip 2018

I once again am heading to the Dominican Republic on a medical mission trip. Each year we help hundreds of people in our clinics.  We bring clinics to communities that do not have access to medical care.  We provide the Dominican people with medications, vitamins, antiparasitic medications etc. along with health care knoweledge to optimize their health.  Each year we return to the same areas to ensure follow up.  We have created important connections in the communities with Doctors, nurses, charitable organizations and more to make sure the people who need health care the most are receiving it.  Our organization does not come in give out medications and leave, we make sure to teach the people how to be proactive and take charge of their health.  Everytime I go I come back a different person.  We take so much for granted living where we do. Each year I grow more and more as a person.  

I am trying to raise $1750 or more for my trip this year.  The total cost is $1650, which has been paid already through donations and my own money. This sounds very expensive but it goes to cover things like flight(which keeps getting more expensive), luggage(as we carry 2-3 hockey bags each),accommodation, food, transportation and anything left over(if any) goes to organizations who could really use it.   In the past we have donated to a group called Adesjo and their clean water program.  They are trying to get water filtration for communities to reduce the occurance of water borne illnesses.  Other places we have donated to: womens shelter, addictions centre, long term care facility and more.
NOW I am trying to raise additional funds to help up purchase the remainder of supplies we need to run successful clinics. Please see below for a list of items we require. If you can donate the item or a dollar amount towards a certain item, please let me know.
