Sarah’s fight against the Big C

We are raising funds on behalf of Sarah who we are honoured to call a personal friend and have known for over 15 years. In July 2021 we sat outdoors with Sarah and her husband Ade and had an enjoyable BBQ and fantastic afternoon. Flash forward 4 months and life took a tragic turn for our wonderful friends. After Sarah suffered an initial bout of illness her worried husband Ade insisted that Sarah was admitted to hospital for further tests and investigations. They were originally treating Sarah for Labyrinthitis however the symptoms suggested otherwise and something more sinister was happening. The family went through several weeks of intense worry, not knowing what this was however understanding that it was serious. The doctors demanded more tests, blood samples and finally a biopsy, then the results came with the most devastating news that Sarah was diagnosed with an inoperable tumour on her brain, a grade 4 glioblastoma.

They say that 1 in 2 people will suffer from or know someone with Cancer within their lifetime and this has touched us deeply and personally. We want to support our friends, Sarah and Ade who are parents to two amazing daughters, Issobella and Sofia who have watched their strong and incredible Mum deal with this most horrific and aggressive form of Cancer. Over the last 6 weeks Sarah has gone through the most brutal and ravaging rounds of combined Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy. Sarah can access an additional treatment option called Immunotherapy which could potentially slow the growth of the tumour however it ‘still in clinical trials.

We’ve set up the Go Fund Me Page to rally our families, good friends, and acquaintances in supporting Sarah and Ade to create the opportunity for Sarah to access Immunotherapy treatment . If we raise the funds the money will be used to pay for private treatment relating to Sarah’s cancer .This is because once the Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy has attempted to try and reduce the tumours size then we need to be ready for the next stage of Sarah’s fight and battle against cancer.
