It has been nearly 2 years since SOS was formed. We are a group of women and mothers whose mission is to help families in need. When I heard the story of this family, I couldn't help but think back to the beginning of it all.
Sarah Partain-Wilder and their tragedy, is exactly why we started this organization.
This site is specifically to support Sarah Partain-Wilder and her family. We are sending this out on Sarah's behalf and OUR GOAL is to help raise the next six months worth of rent money to get her through her pregnancy.

Over a year ago Sarah and her husband Nicky moved to Sonoma to be closer to her brother and mother. Soon after they welcomed their first born child, Charlie. Sarah stayed home to raise their young son and Nicky worked outside the home to provide for their family.
In late October, while at work, Nicky fell from a 14 ft ladder. Sarah insisted that he seek medical attention, but after being seen by a doctor, no tests were done and he was sent home. Several days after the fall, he collapsed in his home and died. Weeks after Nicky's passing, Sarah learned that she was pregnant with their second child and is due this Spring.
What makes this story even more complicated and tragic is that their wedding was planned prior to their move, but with a new baby in tow and costs of moving, they felt it was more financially responsible to wait and save. She still wears her engagement ring and has her wedding dress, but since they were not legally married, she is not eligible for survivor benefits from the state. She is currently going through the legal process to obtain financial support from insurance/employer for the Nicky's children, however she will not recieve any financial relief while she waits for this legal process to take place.
Despite Sarah's efforts to work, it has been difficult. Often, childcare is more than what she will earn, and bringing a 15 month isn't always welcomed, or an option.
Mother Teresa once said, "...help one person at a time and always start with the person nearest you."
So we are bringing Sarah near all of you, through our computers, emails and social media because we believe in her and we're asking you to join us in showing her all the love that this beautiful community and world has to offer. If you can donate even just $1, we promise it WILL MATTER.
