Hi Friends!
As many of you know I live in Hollywood, CA. Nine years ago I moved to LA with Hollywood on the brain and a zealous heart to see LA fall in love with Jesus Christ. My greatest desire is for each individual to know their identity in Christ and walk empowered by the Holy Spirit as witnesses and as his beloved adopted children. The fun thing is I now work as the Outreach Director for a local church called Reality LA where I get to do just that on both a local and global scale. Since I started attending RLA in 2010 and joining staff in 2013, I have had the incredible opportunity to participate in their vision for church planting!
Ten years ago Pastor Tim Chaddick and his wife Lindsey planted Reality LA. We were the first plant of a larger family of churches started by a bunch of surfer’s from Santa Barbara. Our little family has grown to seven churches spanning the coast of California (Carpinteria, LA, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Stockton, San Francisco) and Boston. This summer, we will officially plant our eighth church in London, England pastored by none other than LA’s own, Tim Chaddick.
While those of us in LA mourn the loss of the Chaddicks we rejoice in sending their family to London. We want to see Tim do what he does best, plant churches and preach the gospel! It has been such a joy and privilege to be pastored by and serve under Tim and I can honestly say it is equally a joy and privilege to send him to London!
Whenever a new church is planted, members from each Reality are sent on what we call a Prayer Tour. Think of it as a prayer walk but on a massive scale. Each day for one week our team of 150 will walk the streets of London praying for the city, the church, and the Chaddicks in this great endeavor. This July 26-August 2 I will be joining the prayer tour for Reality Church London.
I am writing you this letter first and foremost to ask for prayer. In my three years working in missions I know full well that there is warfare when you are doing His work. A prayer tour is no different and we will need all the prayer we can get. Europe is becoming increasingly “post-christian” where many have become hostile to the gospel at best, and at worst completely indifferent. We also need prayer for safety and protection as acts of terrorism in European nations are on the rise. We will not bow fear of what could be, but instead press on in the victory of Christ with the urgency of the gospel.
I would ask that you please partner with me on this trip through prayer. Pray that God would use me to serve and minister to every person we encounter, that His light and love would shine through our team. Pray also for our protection and health both physically and spiritually.
I would also like to ask you to pray about joining with me on this trip by supporting me financially. I need to raise $3,000 to pay for airfare, transportation, accommodations and food. If you feel led to partner financially, you can make donations through this site or contact me for more information if you prefer other means giving.
