Mission Trip to Haiti

During my January Term last year, we traveled to Honduras for an eleven day mission trip. My classmates and I opened a health clinic, worked on a building project, gave out countless shoes, clothes and stuffed animals, and loved the people of Tegucigalpa and small villages around Honduras.

We took hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical supplies, books, school supplies, and toys to love the people in Honduras. Mission work being my central passion for ministry, this experience meant the absolute world to me.

This January, I am taking a very similar trip to Haiti. Read about how I'm preparing HERE. Over 300,000 people died in the earthquake of 2010 and over 1.5 million people instantly became homeless.  Thousands of children became orphans in a matter of seconds.  As heartbreaking as it is, I believe that the people of Haiti have so much to teach me about God's love.  I cannot wait to meet them.
