Sarah's surgical recovery

My sister, Sarah Nevins, has struggled with epilepsy for seven years. Her seizures are increasing in frequency, strength and length, adding layers of concern for her continued health and well being. After a seizure she is typically unable to work for days, challenging her ability to care for her family and to make ends meet. Financial security is an overwhelming concern. 
Recently, Sarah became a candidate for a specific epileptic brain surgery that will change her life forever. After a period of contemplation and consideration, Sarah has decided to go forward with the surgery. The surgery date is set for mid July. 
Sarah's bravery through this scary and overwhelming process is inspiring  to many.  Sarah is my only sibling and my best friend. I want for her to be  healthy and to live a happy, fulfilling life. I believe that alleviating part of the financial burden is a crucial part in helping Sarah along her journey.
Sarah has touched the lives of  many people through her time as a musician in Des Moines with bands such as the Hangin' by a String Band, the James Biehn Band and most recently,  Grateful Dead cover band, Winterland.  Sarah also holds a dear space in the hearts of families whose children attended Bean Sprouts, a Waldorf inspired pre-school, where she was assistant teacher.

Her immediate response to anyone in need is to ask , "How can I help?" 

Today, I ask, how can we help her? Sarah will be unable to work and will be restricted to minimal physical activity for at least 3 months. All donations received will directly impact Sarah and her family, ensuring their needs are met through this challenging yet hopeful period.
