Region 5- for Brain Tumour Support

Thank you for reading our story.  

We are a mixed team of 7 sales and nurse specialists working for a healthcare company based around the South West and South Wales. Alongside supporting the NHS in our daily working roles we have decided to raise some money for ‘Brain Tumour Support’ . We have chosen this charity as it is unfortunately a charity close to heart which has supported some of our close friends and family. 

There are around 12,100 new brain, other CNS and intracranial tumours cases in the UK every year. That’s 33 every day. I personally  know of four people at the moment who are suffering with brain tumours. The tumours not only have a profound effect on the individual affected but also have a devastating affect on their family and friends around them.

Brain Tumour Support is the only brain tumour charity dedicated to support across the South West and Midlands, and provides specialist, tailored services for anyone affected by any type of brain tumour. They provide specialist information, practical guidance, emotional and psychological support, and help coping with bereavement for as long as it is needed

From the 1st of June to the end of the month we have given ourselves the target of completing a combined distance of 1051 miles through running, cycling and walking. You maybe asking why 1051 miles? Well this is the total distance between the five peaks challenge, Snowden, Scafell Pike,  Ben Nevis, Slieve Donard, Carrantuohill.

We are all Juggling busy lives whilst working from home, homeschooling and exercising all together but we are determined to smash this target in just 30 days between the 7 of us.
