Sarah's Medical Treatment

Our daughter Sarah was diagnosed with significant speech and communication delay back in 2011.
We have done different treatments in the past six years that have not been covered by the insurance. The treatments have helped Sarah but she is still significantly delayed compared to her peers.
We are pursuing stem cell therapy that helped a lot of children with her condition. This treatement is not offered in US and not covered by insurance. Phase 1 studies have been done in US that showed the the treatment is safe and effective. We've been in touch with the clinic and Sarah is a good candidate and there is a very high chance that she will benefit from it.
The cost of the therapy is $15,000 to $18,000. This does not include travel or lodging expenses. Insurance will not pay. We are tapped out with the costs from Sarah's therapies, and mom's loss of income due to Sarah's condition.
Because of her significant delays, we worry every single day about her future. We wonder if she will ever be able to communicate to her peers, if she will ever be independent. We don't know if she will ever be able to gain full independence, get married, or have a family.
Sarah deserves a chance at independence and a chance at a normal life. She deserves to be able to express herself. Not just her immediate needs. She deserves to have playdates and friends. Right now, it is very challenging for her but we know the potential is there.
While we are not the type of family to ask for help, we feel that we have to do this for Sarah. Please help us to help Sarah to grow to her full potential and contribute as much as she can to the society.
