Sara was originally diagnosed in November 2014 went through chemo and radiation and was in remission and relapsed May 11, 2018 on her 18th birthday. Sara has relapsed brain cancer. She has a germinoma. It came back on her optic nerve and took her eyesight permanently in her right eye. Because it is the same cancer she had before it is harder to fight so she has to do high dose chemotherapy and stem cell transplants. Her odds of beating this aren’t as good this time so they have to be very aggressive. Unfortunately, the side effects from the stronger chemo are really devastating.
Jimmy and Angie are missing a ton of work to be with Sara. Bills are adding up, hospital parking everyday, food while they are at the hospital with her and not to mention there are two other siblings as well.
