Saplings Special School, Kildare

Hello, my name is Alan, and I am the principal of Saplings Special School in Kill, Co. Kildare. I have created this page on behalf of Barry McElroy, who has kindly taken it upon himself to run the Dublin City Marathon (30th October 2022), using it as an opportunity to raise much-needed funds for our children here at Saplings. We are a special school for children with autism and complex needs. All students have a primary diagnosis of autism and a secondary diagnosis of a mild, moderate, or severe/profound learning disability. Some of our students also have other diagnoses such as epilepsy, ADHD, ADD etc. The money raised by Barry will be invaluable to our school to help us procure much-needed resources throughout the year that will support our children's physical and mental development.
