<div>En 2017 lanzamos Lolo Love, un programa de responsabilidad social creado para visibilizar una realidad poco conocida: el burro mexicano se encuentra hoy en una situación extremadamente vulnerable. Nuestro objetivo nunca ha sido sustituir el trabajo del gobierno o de organizaciones especializadas, sino sumar esfuerzos desde nuestras posibilidades como empresa local comprometida con su comunidad.

<div>El nombre del programa viene de Lolo, el primer burrito que rescatamos hace casi 18 años, cuando la cervecería apenas comenzaba. En ese momento, Lolo era utilizado como parte de un espectáculo turístico. Nosotros ofrecimos cubrir su manutención para que dejara de ser explotado. Desde entonces, el burro se convirtió en un símbolo para nuestra marca y en el punto de partida de un compromiso mucho más profundo.

<div>Durante años hemos trabajado para cambiar la percepción que existe sobre estos animales. El burro es noble, inteligente, fuerte, leal y profundamente conectado con las personas que lo cuidan. Sin embargo, históricamente se le ha impuesto una connotación negativa que no refleja su verdadera naturaleza ni su enorme importancia cultural en nuestra región.

<div>A lo largo de estos años, Lolo Love ha crecido gracias a pequeñas acciones sostenidas: apoyo económico desde la empresa, tiempo y trabajo voluntario de nuestro equipo, colaboración con Rancho Carisuva y la integración del santuario a experiencias comunitarias y educativas.

<div>El santuario existe gracias al esfuerzo diario de Rancho Carisuva, quienes asumen la mayor responsabilidad operativa del cuidado de los burritos: su alimentación, atención veterinaria, mantenimiento del espacio y rescate de animales que necesitan ayuda.

<div>Hoy abrimos esta campaña para fortalecer y expandir este esfuerzo.

<div><strong>Los fondos recaudados se destinarán a varias acciones concretas:</strong>

<div><strong>Primero, implementar herramientas de identificación y localización para los burritos del santuario, además de mejorar su infraestructura, incluyendo nuevas áreas de sombra y mejoras en los espacios donde viven, para protegerlos mejor del clima y garantizar su bienestar.</strong>

<div><strong>Segundo, crear el Museo del Burro dentro del rancho, un espacio educativo donde visitantes, escuelas y comunidad puedan conocer la historia de estos animales y entender el papel fundamental que han tenido en el desarrollo de Baja California Sur.</strong>

<div><strong>Tercero, seguir apoyando proyectos dedicados al rescate y cuidado de burritos, así como iniciativas que ayuden a generar conciencia y difusión sobre la situación vulnerable que enfrenta esta especie.</strong>

<div>Este proyecto no es una gran fundación ni una organización internacional. Es una iniciativa pequeña, nacida del amor por estos animales y del deseo de generar conciencia en nuestra comunidad.

<div>Hello, we are Dulce and Jordan from Baja Brewing Company, and together with our friends at Rancho Carisuva in Migriño, Baja California Sur, we are launching this campaign to continue moving forward with one of the projects closest to our hearts: the Donkey Sanctuary.

<div>In 2017 we launched Lolo Love, a social responsibility program created to bring attention to a little-known reality: the Mexican donkey is currently in an extremely vulnerable situation. Our goal has never been to replace the work of the government or specialized organizations, but rather to contribute within our possibilities as a local company committed to our community.

<div>The program’s name comes from Lolo, the first little donkey we rescued almost 18 years ago, when the brewery was just beginning. At that time, Lolo was being used as part of a tourist attraction. We offered to cover his care so he would no longer be exploited. Since then, the donkey has become a symbol of our brand and the starting point of a much deeper commitment.

<div>For years we have worked to change the perception people have of these animals. The donkey is noble, intelligent, strong, loyal, and deeply connected to the people who care for it. However, historically it has been given a negative connotation that does not reflect its true nature or its enormous cultural importance in our region.

<div>Over the years, Lolo Love has grown through sustained small actions: financial support from the company, volunteer time and work from our team, collaboration with Rancho Carisuva, and the integration of the sanctuary into community and educational experiences.
</div>

<div>The sanctuary exists thanks to the daily effort of Rancho Carisuva, who take on most of the operational responsibility for caring for the donkeys: their feeding, veterinary attention, maintenance of the space, and the rescue of animals that need help.
</div>

<div>Today we are opening this campaign to strengthen and expand this effort.
</div>

</div>
<div><strong>The funds raised will support several concrete actions.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>First, to implement identification and location tools for the sanctuary’s donkeys, as well as improvements to the infrastructure, including new shaded areas and upgrades to the spaces where they live, to better protect them from the climate and ensure their well-being.</strong>
</div>

</div>
<div><strong>Second, to create the Donkey Museum at the ranch, an educational space where visitors, schools, and the community can learn about the history of these animals and understand the fundamental role they have played in the development of Baja California Sur.</strong>
</div>

<div><strong>Third, to continue supporting projects dedicated to the rescue and care of donkeys, as well as initiatives that help raise awareness about the vulnerable situation this species faces.</strong>

<div>This project is not a large foundation or an international organization. It is a small initiative, born from love for these animals and from the desire to raise awareness in our community.
