Prayers & Support for Santino Lozano

First and foremost, the Lozano Family is asking for prayers of love and support to strengthen their son Tino's spirit as his body heals from a tragic accident that occurred on Saturday, February 20th.
This accident has led to a serious head injury that includes a contusion in his brain and various fractures to his skull. He is currently in the Surgical ICU at Lutheran General Hospital where the amazing staff there is diligently assisting him on his path to recovery. Tino is currently sedated and on a ventilator while the doctors wait for the swelling in his brain to go down. During these past few days, as the medical team lowers his sedation, Tino is able to open his eyes and squeeze their hands. While he remains in critical condition, we are optimistic that Tino's strong and fighting nature, along with the support of all who love him, will carry him through this extremely difficult time.
Tino is 17 years old and currently a Junior at Lockport Township High School in south suburban Illinois. He and his entire family are very involved with the Parkview Christian Church in Homer Glen. His mother, Tonie, is a Burn ICU nurse as well as a nursing instructor. His father, Robert, is a small business owner. Tino has an older brother, Rob, who also attends Lockport Township High School and is in his senior year preparing for college.
In addition to the medical expenses, the family will need to be away from work for a period of time, as they help Tino on his road to recovery.
