Santiago’s Motorcycle Accident

This GoFund me page was created in honor of my brother Santiago Saavedra. Many of you who know Santiago, know that his passions have always been motorcycles, from a very young age he’s constantly been a fan of riding them. Santiago frequently lives his life being adventurous, constantly pushing through pain and never letting anything get in the way of living his life being happy. His passion for riding always led him to new adventures. Santiago is a loving older brother and son, a caring friend, and all the words you can think of that describes him. Unfortunately, on the night of September 1st, 2018, Santiago had a very tragic motorcycle accident that left him with multiple injuries, including a above the knee amputation on his right leg. He is currently in the ICU recovering and awaiting 4 other surgeries. As you can see my family and I are going through a tough time and would greatly appreciate all the help that we can get as hospital bills, leg prosthetics, and therapy will be very expensive. All of the money that will be collected towards this campaign will be transferred over to our mother’s account. She will be the beneficiary to this campaign. As his younger sister, this means the world to my family and I, as we don’t not come from a wealthy family and all help that is given means the world to us. We understand that not everyone will be financially capable to donate, but prayers and thoughts are always welcomed to our family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for those whom are able to give us a hand in this extremely tough situation. 


Esta página GoFund me fue creada en honor a mi hermano Santiago Saavedra. Muchos de ustedes que conocen a Santiago, saben que sus pasiones siempre han sido las motocicletas, desde muy jóven siempre ha sido un fan de montarlas. Con frecuencia, Santiago vivió su vida siendo aventurero, empujando constantemente el dolor y nunca dejando que nada se interpusiera en su vida siendo feliz. Su pasión por la conducción siempre lo llevó a nuevas aventuras. Santiago es un  hermano mayor y un hijo amoroso, un amigo atento, y todas las palabras que se le ocurren que lo describen. Desafortunadamente, en la noche del 1 de septiembre de 2018, Santiago tuvo un accidente de motocicleta muy trágico que lo dejó con múltiples lesiones, incluida una amputación por encima de la rodilla en la pierna derecha. Actualmente se encuentra en la ICU recuperando y esperando otras 4 cirugías. Como puede ver, mi familia y yo estamos atravesando un momento difícil y agradeceríamos enormemente toda la ayuda que podamos obtener ya que las facturas de los hospitales, las prótesis de piernas y las terapias serán muy costosas. Como su hermana menor, esto significa el mundo para mi familia y para mí, ya que no proveemos de una familia adinerada, toda la ayuda que se nos brinda significa mucho para nosotros. Entendemos que no todos serán financieramente capaces de donar, pero las oraciones y los pensamientos siempre son bienvenidos en nuestra familia. Gracias desde el fondo de nuestros corazones por aquellos que pueden ayudarnos en esta situación extremadamente difícil.
