Santa Rosa Homeless Family of 6

I'm a teacher at an elementary school in Santa Rosa. This year I have a 10 year old student who is currently living in a homeless shelter with his family. His family includes his father and 4 other siblings ages 12, 8, 5, and 3. Although the father is working full time, they are homeless due to economic challenges and need help getting back on their feet. I'm hoping to raise funds to assist this family in securing stable housing and the expenses that come with it. 

I have been teaching for 11 years, and I have never had a student or family that has had such an impact on my life. The thought of this family living in a homeless shelter breaks my heart. It's loud and dirty. The kids don't sleep well, come to school hungry and therefore are not prepared to learn. 

As a community we can make a huge difference in the lives of this family when they need us the most. Thank you!
