Santa Marathon for Pieta House
Donation protected
HO, HO, HO!
This December I will be running a full 42 kilometre marathon and to make it just a bit more festive, I will be wearing a Santa suit, all in aid of Pieta House.
Mental Health is something which affects us all, whether it be a personal experience or watching loved ones battle with their own mental health, we have all been exposed to how our mental health can affect us negatively.
Pieta Houses mission is to support people and communities in crisis by providing freely accessible, professional services to all. Their vision is a world where suicide, self-harm and stigma have been replaced by hope, self-care and acceptance. They operate fifteen centres and five outreach service across Ireland. In 2018, almost 8,200 people came through their doors suffering from suicidal ideation, engaging in self-harm, or to avail of suicide bereavement counselling and we managed over 16,000 calls through our 24 hour freephone helpline.
I know this year has been tough for everyone and many worthy causes are crying out for well needed donations. However, if you can spare a few euro change, even the price of pint, than I would be hugely grateful.
