Santa Cruz Fire Evacuees Fund

Donation protected
As of 8/23/2020 over 71,000 acres of the Santa Cruz mountains have burned and 77,000 people have been evacuated from their homes.  around 24,000+ structures have been threatened and only 8% contained. Many of these evacuees had to flee their homes scrambling to gather whatever they could and head to  shelters set up on the other side of the County with their families.  My wife & I are setting up this page up to buy supplies/food and Visa gift cards to be given out to families who are in need of their own more specific supplies/food/personal items.  Many of the shelters we have called mentioned they are in need of tents/pillows/sleeping bags as well. We would also like to provide food/water for the first Responsers spending countless hours out there to save our community. We ask for your generosity during this tough time and we will in turn match the first $10,000 to help those in need. If you are unable to donate, just a repost of this or forwarding to others would help tremendously. Thank you!

To ensure you that the money is being put directly into helping the evacuees we will be posting photos of tangible donations with explanations of what was purchased, from where they were purchased, the amount spent for each transaction and where these items were delivered.  We are also looking to help any families we can reach directly impacted by the fires (whether they have lost their homes or have been displaced from their homes) to help them get through these tough times.  In the event of the families being helped we will provide the families last name and explain whatever information they are able to divulge to us as well as the amount of the donation.  Some of these donations may be monetary donations as some families would be best suited for this in certain situations (i.e. paying bills, having funds to pay for rent, etc.). Our main goal is to help families directly, however in some instances it will be helpful to provide donations to centers that can distribute items in dire need to shelters of those evacuees.

So there is full transparency and so you can know exactly who will be managing the funds will introduce myself.  My name is Andy Levitre, I grew up in Ben Lomond, CA.  Anyone familiar with this area know that Boulder Creek, Brookdale, Ben Lomond, and Felton are all mountain towns that make up a close knit community.  Having grown up and gone to school at San Lorenzo Valley I have many friends that grew up in these areas (all of which have been effected by the CZU Lightning Complex).   The money is being deposited into my business account and will be distributed as soon as possible as I feel time is of the essence to help those that were so quickly uplifted from their homes and had to evacuate into a new living situation with their families.  If you would like to see more specifically where the funds are going follow my updates as I will be writing updates and posting pictures along the way to show you the way the funds are being spent.  We want to meet the changing needs of what those are in need of so this is why we will be showing you in updates.
