Our people are facing many challenges that COVID-19 brought to us. Sadly, the death toll keeps rising and the world economy keeps dropping. However, there is always something we can be proud of and it is the way our communities can come together to help each other.
Doctors, nurses and health care providers fight day-to-day saving lives. Cleaning services are working around the clock to keep spaces and hospitals safe. Crew members at grocery stores are putting their lives at risk to stock shelves. Farmers keep the spirit alive and produce fresh foods for all of us. Mail drivers and delivery workers function non-stop to deliver things to our homes to keep us safe. We have many things to be grateful for. Each of us can be a part of it. Each of us can do something to help them.
Today, stop for a minute and be thankful to all of those who serve to help and protect us. Be mindful of how lucky you are to STAY HOME, but in the meantime consider what we all can do to help them?
Our company, Sandler Scientific, has developed SaniStrap: a wrist-worn, refillable, personal, hand-sanitizer dispenser that is available for use on-demand, anywhere, everywhere.
Funding for this project is necessary only because of the time-critical aspect of this pandemic. We have already covered the cost of device design, plastic mold development, web-page construction/URL, manufacturing tool-up and creation of distribution network. Our immediate goal is to build and distribute as many of these devices as possible, as soon as possible to flatten the curve. The longer-term objective, given the lessons learned from COVID-19--is to have a global, health-improving solution that will have a positive impact on reducing communicability of other hand-transmitted diseases, from Airports to Zoos.
But first, we would love to support professionals working on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. Please, donate anything you can to our #GOFUNDME campaign and we will supply SaniStraps to those who are at the greatest risk helping us all.
