Sanford Farmer family's funeral fundraiser

Our father, Sanford Farmer, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 from a suspected carfentinal laced heroin overdose. Our grandmother Daughty Fortier; our fathers mother, passed away just months before in August due to heart failure and complications with her type 2 diabetes. My sister Alivia Farmer and I, along with my father and other family members put our grandmother to rest on 09/16/2020. Fast forward to November and we are responsible for putting our father to rest.
I Chris Ashley, live in Augusta and have been trying to secure a stable living environment for my sister Alivia. At age 17, she lived with our father her whole life. He is all she knows. We are both doing all we can to process this loss and the loss of our grandmother, especially given the unexpected timing.
Prior to our grandmother passing, our father was sober and doing really well. Sam struggled with his demons most of his life. In March of 2017, our father was in a car accident. Clinging onto life, my father pulled through and began making amends to family and friends.
Alivia and I do not come from a wealthy line of family. I work full time and have to take time off to be here for my sister since her mother lives in portland and Alivia will be 18 come May, she would like to be here for her dogs and continue school. Alivia and I will be some of the very few in the family left to give our father a ceremony.
It's my Fathers wish to be buried up in ottisfield with his mother Dottie. The cremation alone will be $1000 and that's not including the funeral, burial, transportation, and some of the Bills to keep things going around his house for my sister.
I'm praying for a peaceful and easy going send off for our father. We loved him immensely, things will never be the same, however with some help from the community we can give our Father what he deserves.
