In October 2017, my mom went to visit the doctor for a health concern. They performed several tests and gave us the news that it was some sort of rare cancer. Sadly, later that same week, Sandy's dad, Tom, passed away. While experiencing this life changing diagnosis, my mom had to say goodbye to her father. However, we already know that my mom is a badass--the doctors simply proved that when they diagnosed her with stage 3 squamous cell carcinoma of the rectum. She is a fighter and is heading into this journey with that in mind, but this process is still frightening, so your prayers and support are much needed during this time. There is an 80% survival rate with this cancer and it's something we can definitely work with!  With the battle she currently faces, we thought it would be wonderful to raise some funds to help keep her worry-free and focused on fighting.  If you can contribute in anyway, we would surely appreciate it!
