Sands Family

The Sands family is a big part of the Lancaster Firebirds organization. They have a mite, a peewee and a bantam player. On Tuesday January 9, Joe Sands (the father) underwent a significant surgery. While I am not sure exactly how to describe the surgery and not sure there really is a name for it, basically, he was having issues with an injured eardrum. They ultimately found that there was a hole in his skull that needed to be repaired. The surgery took about 8 hours and went as well as they had hoped. I am assuming recovery will take several weeks, which will mean Joe will be off work for quite a while. 

I truly believe that the Sands family would do anything for any one of us and now they could use our help. As we all now, money doesn't fix everything, but I know that some financial help could relieve some stress that the family is probably feeling at this time. 

Any amount you feel led to give will help out!

I will keep this account open for a couple of weeks and turn it over to the Sands family to use it as they see fit.
