Sandra's Memorial Playground

Sandra Fore Leeds, 58 went to be with the Lord August 4th, 2017. Sandra was born February 7, 1959 and moved to Charlotte at an early age with her family. She met her husband Peter Leeds in Charlotte NC and raised 2 children, Amy and Spencer. She retired from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte after working in the Budget department for 25 plus years.
Sandra truly loved life and brought a contagious joy to everyone she met, she demonstrated God’s love to others by volunteering and giving of herself to various ministries. She enjoyed being a part of these services through her beloved church Central Church of God in Charlotte. She enjoyed cruising to various areas with her husband as well as spending time with her family. She enjoyed finding a steal and “bargain shopping” with her mom and sister. One thing that brought her comfort and peace was sitting in her “prayer room” listening to her favorite hymns and reading verses from God’s word. The last 8 months were made extra special with the arrival of her first grandson “Chuck” Daniel.
The memorial service will be held at Central Church of God on Tuesday August 8th, 2017. Visitation will be at 11-12pm and the memorial service will begin at 12-1pm.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Grace Academy in order to build a memorial playground in Sandra’s honor for her grandson “Chuck” Daniel. Her son in law Matthew Daniel works at Grace Academy and Chuck loved being picked up by his G-mommy from child care on tuesdays and sometimes thursdays when she was able to get him. Although she will not be able to push him on a swing or watch him go down the slide she will always be watching over him from above.
