Sandi Pilcher Kidney Transplant

My name is Sandi Pilcher, I am 46 years old. I am married to an amazing man and we have 6 children, two of which still live at home. I was diagnosed with lupus in 1997 and in 2012 End Stage Renal (kidney) Failure caused by the lupus. I have been on dialysis since that time. I have been on a kidney transplant list since 2013 and have had 3 potential living donors all of which were determined to be medically unfit as a living donor. We are now going through the process again of testing a potential donor for the transplant. Although my insurance will pay for the actual surgeries involved in the transplant there are no funds available to get the potential donor to Atlanta, GA for transplant testing and then a return visit for the actual transplant. There will also be other expenses involved such as transportation for my husband, lodging for both my husband and the donors husband, Insurance co-pays for doctors and medicine, and household expenses for when my husband is out of work tending to my family's needs and my health needs.
