Our dear friend Sandi Duncan is undergoing some severe physical challenges at the moment centering on her third bout with cancer. She is taking it all in stride and with her usual grace, sense of humor, New England backbone and can do spirit. She continues to be an inspiration to everyone who knows her.
We originally set up this campaign to surprise Sandi and Barbara with a cruise to Alaska. However, it no longer appears as if a trip is going to be possible. Sandi’s health has not improved enough to make the journey. Sandi and Barbara have made it known that they are in far greater need of funding for obligations closer to home. Therefore I am asking the permission of everyone who has contributed to this fund to allow the money to be used for whatever Sandi & Barbara feel is most necessary as they see fit. If you have already contributed with Alaska in mind, let me know if you would like your donations returned to you, otherwise we are going forward with a new plan to raise as much as possible to cover medical bills, living expenses, etc.
