Sanctuary Scholarship

After a long and winding road, this asylum seeker has been awarded one of five sanctuary scholarships at a Russell Group University.

Tomorrow friends will move them from their Serco housing to their student accommodation, and on Monday they will have their very first class in a 4-year undergraduate degree.

I feel proud and privileged to have had a small supporting part in this story, but before I wave them off on their new path, I would like to do one more thing...

I would like to ask if anyone can help me fund a decent laptop?

We have had really kind offers from organisations that recycle and restore but to study Computer Science something faster and more powerful is needed.

And to get this far, against all odds, I think something faster and more powerful is deserved.
