Fundraiser For Samuel Mitchell

Dear Friends,

Sam is doing extremely well in rehab , he is working very hard, and things look very promising!   We were able to get pictures of his daily routine in physical therapy, and he looks great.   The doctors and physical therapist have stated that Sam has progressed faster than most patiens with similar injuries. 

For those of you who may not be aware of why Sam was hospitalized in January of 2018, it was due to a terrible fall at his home.  Sam slipped on ice in the driveway and, broke his neck.  He is currently going through rehabilitation at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York.

Anyone who knows Sam, knows that he is a "Fighter", he continues to work hard every day, and is making great strides towards being able to regain his mobility.


Sam has a wonderful team of doctors, physical therapist and nurses that are very passionate and committed to giving Sam the best possible care.  As a result, Sam remains positive and fully engaged, his medical team marvels at his progress and his positive outlook.

We are reaching out to family and friends for any assistance with the cost of renovations and continued care over the next (18) months during Sam's recovery.
The family will need help  with donations to retro-fit the home with a ramp, and bathroom renovations for a new shower and entry way  into the bathroom.

                      Here's what the family is in need of:

Volunteers - We are looking for anyone who has carpentry experience that can volunteer some time to assist with the retro-fit work at the Mitchell's home.  They need help with retrofitting their first floor bathroom with a shower that can accomodate a wheel chair and help build a ramp inside the home.

Money - Any size donation will be of immense help to the family, to help defray mounting medical expenses for Sam's care.

Once Sam leaves Albany Medical Center, he will continue to need some of the same services that he is receiving in the hospital.  In home care is very costly and the family would be very appreciative of any help provided.

With the much needed help from family and friends, Sam will continue to receive the level of medical care he needs so he can remain focused on his recovery.




As we move forward in this process, I'd like to say 1st and foremost, Sam has been and continues to be blessed by GOD.  We witness every day the work that GOD is doing in the lives of this family, we look forward to Sam's continued progress and will keep you all in the loop.
