Hey you! Thank you for checking out my GoFundMe page! I have been accepted to a human rights internship program in Cape Town, South Africa! Since this is an unpaid internship, I am asking for your help. But wait, there's more! ;) Instead of doing a regular ol' GoFundMe, I want to make this more worth your while... (Read below)
Donation details:
Money raised from this campaign will go towards a variety of costs, such as:
-Flights to and from Cape Town, South Africa
-Housing
-Food
-Program Fees
Any donation amount is EXTREMELY helpful and sooo appreciated, but if you give at least $20 you will be entered into a drawing to win a free one-night stay for 2 at The Nines Luxury Hotel in Portland, OR! This is a $300.00 value.
You will be entered into the drawing more times if you choose to donate in multiples of $20 (a $40 donation is 2 entries, $60 is 3 entries, etc).
There will be one winner, who's name will be drawn at random on March 30th, 2018. Your hotel stay may be used at any time after your name is drawn.
If you donate ANY amount, I would love to send you a personal thank you letter! You will be asked to provide your mailing address when you pay because of this.

I have been offered a unique, 3 month long internship position in Cape Town, South Africa (AHHH!!! :D). The program is organized through University of Oregon's study abroad office.
I will be working full time at a respite home for at-risk teenage girls. My focus will be providing crisis intervention services and advocacy for girls who have become survivors of domestic abuse, and also for girls who have found themselves in trouble with the law after committing a crime. My hope is to help these youth find justice in a system that has failed them. I’ll be advocating for their social, legal, and human rights while giving them resources and guidance to help them build healthier lives. This is something I am SO passionate about, and I can’t wait!!!!
Thanks for everything, family and friends! I wouldn’t have the courage or even the opportunity to do this internship without all of your love and support. ❤️
