Home for the Holidays: SAMP

The Bay Area has the THIRD LARGEST population of people experiencing homelessness. 28,200 individuals lived without stable shelter in 2017, and that number has only grown during the pandemic. Let that sink in. We are so fortunate to have a roof to sleep under each night and we don't have to think about when our next meal is going to be. This is not the same case for homeless families this holiday season.
This is why we urgently ask you to donate to our Home for the Holidays fundraiser. We will be using proceeds to make and deliver care packages for families in need this winter. Every penny counts and we need your help to reach our goal!

About Us:
We are a silicon valley nonprofit organization that aims to spread and encourage unity by giving back to communities through various acts of kindness. We are a group of aspiring high school students who believe that maintaining SAMP, which means unity in Gujarati, during uncertain times is crucial. We believe it is necessary to put aside our differences and face problems as one because we are stronger together. We have carried out multiple projects in the past year, and if you would like to know more about them, please visit our website, thesamp.org.
From our last GoFundMe fundraiser (using the same campaign page), we were thankful to have an overwhelming amount of support from many donors. On November 25th, we donated 10% of our proceeds to La Jolla Institute for Immunology, which has been making research efforts for COVID-19.
