I was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine cancer in 2005 with symptoms 10 years prior to an actual diagnosis. I have quit working due to my symptoms and am my sole provider.
Recently, I have been referred for a special treatment called PRRT (targeted therapy) to my liver tumors which are growing.
Sadly, my HMO has refused to pay for my scans, my visits to see five experts who treat this cancer and are now refusing to pay for a treatment that can extend my life.
I am unable to work and live off social security benefits. My symptoms are becoming worse: wt. loss, fatigue, depression, pain, insomnia, and I recently learned I need back surgery for spinal stenosis.
